Process for Obtaining Health Certificate from BFSA

Short Description: Health Certificate confirms the quality and suitability of food products that has become essential for export processed food to developed and developing countries. Some foreign countries made it mandatory to have Health Certificate with imported processed food.

Responsible Agency: Bangladesh Food Safety Authority

Applicability: Anyone who wants to take Health Certificate form BFSA

Method of Submission: Online

Fee:

  • For FoB value below 10 lac- 2,000 BDT
  • For FoB value between 10 lacs to 50 lacs- 3,000 BDT
  • For FoB value above 50 lacs- 5,000 BDT

Processing Time: 15 days

Validity: 1 year

 

Steps to Get Health Certificate from BFSA

Step 1: Login into the BFSA e-Health Certificate system
* A new user first has to register into the system
Step 2: Fill out the prescribed application Form along with the detailed information
Step 3: Pay required fee/Charges
Step 4: BFSA collects sample for laboratory test
Step 5: BFSA tests sample at selected laboratory
Step 6: If lab test report is fine, BFSA provides Health Certificate online

  1. Copy of Export Registration Certificate
  2. Trade License
  3. Project Clearance if Registered under BEZA
  4. Packing List
  5. Commercial Invoice
  6. Contract Agreement between Importer and Exporter/ Proforma Invoice (PI)
  7. Importing Country’s Requirements on Testing Parameters
